We were looking forward to meeting friends from around ASEAN and also the world at JOMLAUNCH ASIA 2020 in September 2020. We put a lot of work in place to make sure that it is going to be a great event for everyone.
Nevertheless, some things are more important than others.
Coronavirus or the Covid-19 hit the world, and Malaysia is not excluded. And currently Malaysia is under Movement Control Order. Everybody is at home doing their part to stay safe and break the chain of the virus.
While JOMLAUNCH ASIA 2020 is scheduled to be held in September, it is only April, there are just too many uncertainties for us (the organizer) to move forward. We anticipated the participation of friends from Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and more. And even if Malaysia is out of the blue by September (we hope so), we are not really sure how things are with other countries. Travel restrictions may still be in effect.
Furthermore, as the organizer, some things require early commitment, which we are not prepared to give at the moment.
And with that, we are announcing that we are cancelling the JOMLAUNCH ASIA for year 2020.
We are still very optimistic for JOMLAUNCH ASIA 2021.
We hope that everybody is doing their part to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus. We also wish the well being of everyone.
